Pouch Tax is a nicotine-pouch quit tracker published by Neon Frenchie LLC. This policy explains what the app stores, why, and how you get it back or delete it.
Pouch Tax is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. Savings and nicotine totals are estimates calculated from figures you enter. Speak with a qualified healthcare professional for personalised help with nicotine withdrawal or cessation medication.
Neon Frenchie LLC is the data controller for information processed by Pouch Tax. Contact: chris@neonfrenchie.com.
Everything below is data you enter or that your device supplies. We do not buy data about you, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Email address | Identifies your account and lets you sign back in |
| Display name and profile photo, if your sign-in provider supplies them | Shown in the app |
| Which sign-in providers you used (Apple, Google, email) | Lets you sign in the same way next time |
| Account created and last seen dates | Account maintenance |
If you use Sign in with Apple and choose to hide your email, we only ever receive Apple's private relay address. We never receive your Apple or Google password.
Quit date and time, pouches per day, pouches per can, cost per can, currency, nicotine strength per pouch, brand name, your reason for quitting, whether you are tapering, and your timezone. This is what the savings engine calculates from.
| Record | Contents |
|---|---|
| Cravings | Start and end time, intensity, trigger (such as stress, boredom, after a meal, socialising, driving), outcome, and any note you write |
| Slips | When it happened, how many pouches, any note, and whether it started a new streak |
| Rewards | Title, target amount, icon, completion date |
| Milestones | Which milestone and when it was reached |
Notification preferences, quiet hours, theme, and whether you enabled analytics. If you turn on notifications we store a push notification token for each device, along with the platform, app version and timezone, so reminders reach the right device.
Your data is stored in Google Cloud Firestore, operated by Google as our processor, in a United States multi-region. Access is enforced by server-side security rules: each signed-in user can read and write only their own records, and nobody else's. The app keeps a local cache on your device so it works without a connection.
If analytics are enabled, we collect aggregate usage and crash diagnostics to find bugs and understand which features are used. These reports are designed to exclude the sensitive specifics — your exact money amounts, pouch counts, nicotine strength, brand, notes, and email address are not sent as analytics parameters. You can turn analytics off in Settings.
Depending on where you live — for example under GDPR in the UK and EEA, or under state privacy laws in the United States — you may have additional rights to access, correct, port, or erase your data, and to object to processing. Write to chris@neonfrenchie.com and we will respond within the timeframe your law requires.
We keep your data until you delete it. Deleting your account removes your account record, quit profile, settings, cravings, slips, rewards, milestones and device tokens, and deletes your authentication identity. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. Backups and logs may retain residual copies for a short period before being overwritten in the ordinary course.
Pouch Tax is intended for adults who use or have used nicotine pouches. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under the age required to purchase nicotine products where they live.
If this policy changes materially we will update this page and the date above, and where appropriate notify you in the app.
